Training Regimen: Spartan Group Training Classes, Burpee-ing for Fun

Mary is amazing. She’s been on the short list for Beast of the Week a few times before, so it’s no surprise that this time she has commanded the top spot! We have often admired the gusto with which she trains; she’s a drenched, fire-breathing mess at the end of every workout and we say that with the greatest of admiration. She throws herself completely into every workout, isn’t afraid to seek out training advice and tips after class, and is always friendly and quick to laugh, even at 6 o’clock in the morning. But what put her over the top this month is how she’s stepped it up outside of the gym; she just completed her first event with the Arena Fitness Adventure Racing team (the Live Ultimate 5k) and did a great job, and then went and signed up to participate in a Burpee Challenge with some friends. Yes, she voluntarily threw her hat into a 100 Burpees per Day Competition and she’s crushing it! At last glance she was in second place out of 29 people (note how almost 20 people tapped out before the third checkpoint. Yeah, you don’t want to go up against Mary. She will ROLL YOU UP!). Mary, you are the greatest!
