Thank you so much to all of you who showed up to FMS Assessment Day on March 12th in Encino. It was awesome for us to get the opportunity to spend time with you and teach you about the purpose and value of this process.

The FMS (Functional Movement Screen) is our way of providing the safest and most effective training program possible for you. The FMS is designed to help minimize the risk of injury and optimize performance.

Since implementing the Functional Movement Screen a few years ago we have seen injuries drop significantly and results improve enormously. The FMS works. How well? Scroll down to see….

Joe Garcia, Program Director at Arena Fitness, tallied the data. Here are the results since our last FMS Assessment last year:

  • 10 people improved by 1 point
  • 13 people scored 2 points higher
  • 14 people experienced a 3 points (or more) improvement
  • 16 people maintained their score

53 out of 60 people who were re-screened either maintained or improved their scores, which is a really impressive overall improvement! Congratulations on your focused effort, you did a great job!

If you didn’t improve this time around, that’s okay. Keep that growth mindset and maintain your focus, improvement will happen.

Thank you to Jess Mena and a special shout out to Jason Whitman, DPT, for helping us out!

If you have friends or family in need of physical therapy on the Westside, Jason is the man!
